4th of July Dessert: Celebration Shake

4th of july dessert shake

Confession, I love birthdays cake shakes from Zaxby's. It's probably good there isn't one close or I'd probably be very chunky. Since there isn't one close I decided I must do something about it. So about 6 months ago I got my brain working and created the birthday cake shake to enjoy at home. When thinking about the perfect 4th of July Dessert I decided to create a similar version of the birthday cake shake, the Celebration Shake!

4th of july ingredients

All you need for the birthday cake shake is vanilla ice cream, vanilla cake mix & milk. The only thing that changed for the Celebration Shake was the cake mix. I grabbed the funfetti cake mix this time around! Blue bell wasn't on sale so I just grabbed the Lucerne that was and it was surprisingly DELISH!

This cake batter milkshake is the perfect recipe for a 4th of July dessert, as it is not only delicious but nice and cold on a hot summer day!
  • 6 Scoops Ice Cream
  • 1/4 C Dry Cake Mix
  • 16 oz. Milk
  1. Scoop 6 scoops of ice cream into the blender.
  2. Top with 16 oz. of milk. You can add more to make it smoother. I typically try to cover my ice cream.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of dry cake mix. You can add more, but I find this to not be too overpowering.
  4. Blend 🙂

I rimmed the glass with red sprinkles to add the aesthetics!
